Creep (2014) - When Simplicity Wins over Everything
Creep (2014) "Creep" is a marvel. So it's actually quite scary, quite scary, but it's a wonder how on an incredibly small budget they were able to make such a brilliant and successful film. On the technical side it is a classic "fake documentary", therefore shot quite amateurishly, but this is not a flaw at all, quite the opposite: being an intrinsic element of the plot, preparatory to the unfolding of events, it is pleasant and well contextualised within the movie. It goes without saying that the most successful aspects are the performances and the story. The two actors are very good, but the jewel in the crown is undoubtedly Mark Duplass: his portrayal of Josep is as frightening as it is mysterious and it is precisely these aspects that make him one of the most, as the title suggests, creepy characters, not only of history but also of all horror cinema.
